Jay Logie, COO; ATG & WVS (FlareGuard)

Jay Logie brings over 45 years of extensive experience in aircraft manufacturing and maintenance to Flareguard from his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Aircraft Technologies Group (ATG), founder of the Aero Skills Competitions, and Aviation NETWorX. Since their establishment in 1999 and 2015, respectively, Jay has been instrumental in enhancing accountability and value within the aircraft maintenance and manufacturing skilled labor market. His expertise spans mechanics and structures, specializing in major overhaul and restoration projects that uphold stringent industry standards.

Cliff Whitehead, CPA, CFP

Cliff is a highly experienced CPA, with a distinguished career spanning over 30 years. He has provided multiple companies with operational financial leadership, navigated them through various cost saving measures, reorganizations, and managed numerous tax audits. As acting CFO, he leverages his extensive expertise in cost controls, financial planning and operational efficiency to drive company growth. Cliff’s financial optimization in industry makes him an invaluable asset in ensuring the company’s financial stability and success. When away from the office, Cliff enjoys fishing, camping, golfing, hiking, traveling as well as coaching and playing softball.

Bonnie Nerbygaard – Accounts Payable Manager

Bonnie brings a wealth of experience working in a team environment and as a team leader. She has 30 years of experience as a parts technician and service manager in the automotive, trucking and heavy equipment industry. She is a workplace leader who pays attention to detail, as evidenced by awards received for outstanding customer service and performance. Bonnie holds a Red Seal Skilled Trade Certificate in Automotive Technician and Parts Technician having attended Canadian Institute of Technology, Vancouver Island University and Grande Prairie Regional College. 

Bonnie lives in the Okanagan and loves the lifestyle it affords her. She is an avid gardener with a green thumb and puts her artistic talents to task through rock carving. She is also a bird lover, owning several exotic birds. When not at home in her yard, you will find Bonnie floating on the lake or kayaking.

Janice Waymire – DER/ TSS representative

Janice is our Lead TSS agent and designated employee representative for all pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and random testing. She is a long-standing team member who brings over 10 years of human resource & office management experience in the aerospace industry to ATG. She is a people person with excellent team building skills and attention to detail ensuring all hires are looked after from the beginning of the process to the end. Janice enjoys her work and wants to continue growing with the ATG team and share in our continued success.

Janice hales from Ardmore Oklahoma, where she shares her love of the great outdoors with her family, going hunting, fishing and raising horses. Janice and family are skilled horseback riders and compete in cowboy mounted shooting competitions. If she challenges you to a duel, look out!

Susan Stopchycki – TSS Representative

Susan brings to ATG over thirty years of experience working directly with people from various backgrounds. Her extensive experience, diversified set of skills and colorful personality has afforded her opportunities to create, manage and operate several non-profit employment programs within various communities. Her exceptional people skills and attention to detail has allowed her to foster long-term relationships with candidates and employers a like, bringing them together for a successful joint venture. Susan is resourceful and goes the extra mile to ensure needs are met by all parties involved. She is full of energy, has a solid set of administrative skills, is detailed oriented and communicates well. Susan loves the Canadian and Okanagan lifestyle, from water sports, golf, hiking and wine tours in the summer to skiing at every opportunity in the winter.

Melissa Poitras – TSS Representative 

Melissa is customer service oriented with years of experience in retail, managing and overseeing all aspects of the operations.  She is a people person who is adaptable and works well in a team setting. She is a quick learner with a positive attitude and enthusiasm that endure her to her coworkers. As a domestic engineer, running her household and raising two young children, she honed her organizational and time management skills and holds a certificate as a certified health care assistant. Melissa was raised in the Okanagan from a young age, is an avid reader, loves jigsaw puzzles and makes a killer cheesecake. Who doesn’t love cheesecake!

Roddy Logie – Office/ Data Administrator

Roddy overseas and manages the ATG office and back-end data for our business, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and addresses any issues as they arise. His computer skills and knowledge of software applications allow him to liaise directly with our IT services, for smooth and efficient operations. Roddy is an integral part of our operation, quietly managing communications, staffing requirements, orientation and all operations behind the scenes.
